In Augusta, popular practices book routine cleanings weeks ahead, so call early or ask to be put on a cancellation list; emergency and walk-in clinics are the exception. Across Georgia, a new-patient exam with X-rays and a cleaning typically runs from about $150 to $350 without insurance, and many offices publish new-patient specials on their websites. Check the listing for hours, whether the office takes your insurance or Medicaid, languages spoken, wheelchair access and parking, then confirm by phone: insurance networks and providers change more often than the listings do.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 9 am–5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (706) 860-6443. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is augustakidsdentist.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating stands at 3.3 out of 5 from 15 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.

when it was time for my son to get sedated with the needle, instead of preparing him, she had the needle ready to stick him with no warning … he was already scared from the begining. I can only imagine what would of happenend had I not been back there.

I brought in my daughter at 2 years old for cleaning and everything was fine, no cavities. 6 months later, she comes in for her cleaning and we are told she has 4 cavities, and 2 may need crowns. Come day of procedure, Dr.Obebe informs me it is 6 cavities and cannot say what will be done as far as β€œdental restoration” until he gets into the OR. They brought my 2 year old out with 8 crowns in her mouth. I feel that I was not properly informed as to what was being done to my child. I definitely would recommend getting at least a second opinion before allowing this pediatric dentist to perform these procedures.

Warning: Do Not Visit This Dentist! We had a terrible experience with this dentist. Just a month ago, another dentist found only one cavity in my 3-year-old daughter's teeth. However, this dentist claimed she had developed nine cavities, all needing expensive caps, and threatened to report us for neglect if we didn't agree to the costly treatment. We were suspicious and sought a third opinion. The new dentist confirmed only one cavity, as shown by x-rays and an exam. It seems the first dentist was dishonest, using scare tactics about neglect to push unnecessary procedures for profit. Unacceptable behavior! Not sure how he sleeps at night trying to take advantage of parents need to care for their children!

I love Dr Obebe. He is always nice and friendly and so is his staff. He makes sure all the kids are taking care of their teeth. He informs the kids on the importance of oral health. He takes his time with the children making them feel comfortable when he is preforming work on their teeth. My kids arent scared to go to the dentist anymore because of his gentle ways. He never makes me feel bad when my kids have a cavity, like other dentist in the past. He's a great dentist! Would definitely recommend.
